Thank you for the information. I don't pick him up from daycare, but I have called the daycare a couple of times and the teacher is very helpful. She told me that he was very withdrawn during the first few weeks and that he wouldn't interact with any of the children. However, she said in the last few weeks he is feeling more comfortable with the other children and interacts a lot more. As far as the abuse situation, I'm not sure if it's considered abuse or neglect. The father has not had electricity in his home since the day after Christmas. His step-mother called DCF, but they didn't do much. Most recently, my brother-in-law believes he arrived at the home and believed he was doing drugs. My brother-in-law has called DCF four times, but the case worker has not returned his calls. It's been a little cold and the father has been taking the child to my brother-in-law's home in the evening. Incidently, the father (who does work full time) has received two weeks full pay and both weeks he had no money left within 24 hours. It's not a good situation to say the least. We will just keep praying.
